How to get rid of bad habits (forever)

Written by Lindsey Kaszuba

Are you tired of starting and stopping healthy habits?

Are you waiting for a motivation boost to try again?

Do you wish you could finally break the cycle of diets, restrictions, and guilt related to food and your body?

Do you want to create long-term strategies for a healthier lifestyle?

I may find health to be simple now, but five years ago I thought quite the opposite. I was beyond overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the things I thought I had to do to “be healthy.”

I starved myself with constant dieting, constantly felt guilt and regret over my food choices, and was always on the edge of burnout. Being healthy was stressing me out.

I thought I was being healthy and productive. Now I look back and think how in the world did I think that being healthy was supposed to be stressful. 😱

I know how frustrating it can be to navigate the complex world of health and wellness on your own. For every article you read or person you talk to there is contradicting information on what you should eat, how you should work out, how much you should weigh, and how you should parent…it’s A LOT.

I know how frustrating and overwhelming it is because I’ve been there. It’s overwhelming, exhausting, no fun, lonely, and quite frankly, redundant. And it’s even more magnified when you’re a parent. Amirite?!

The truth is you’re reading this email because I discovered a different way, a simpler and much more enjoyable way to be healthy and feel great. And that is exactly why I do this work. To show you a way that makes eating, thinking, and moving healthy simpler so you can swap self-doubt, overwhelm, and yo-yo dieting for more sustainable health all year round.

I am so passionate about supporting overwhelmed parents create healthy habits that are sustainable because I was an overwhelmed parent who needed healthy habits to last longer than a few months.

I want to be able to keep up with my kids, I want to be present with them, I want to have the energy to play, I want to have the energy for self-care, I want to look in the mirror and be confident, I want to walk down the street and feel strong, I want to wake up feeling fresh, I want to go into my day feeling peaceful, I want to sit down at the end of the day and be proud of what I did that day.

But mostly, I want to be respected, I want to be influential, I want to be successful, I want to be courageous, I want to be confident, and I want to love myself so that I can show my daughters how to do exactly the same for themselves.

Because it starts with us, the parents.

Take care of yourself, so they learn how to take care of themselves.

So, how do you get rid of bad habits forever?

I cover this in detail in my coaching program, but I want to give you a quick answer now.

  1. Discover what feels best to you.

  2. Trust that your body knows best.

  3. Stay consistent with what feels best, even when you don’t want to.

  4. Create an accountability system. Surround yourself with people who support you and have similar goals.

I believe that a community of like-minded individuals can help you achieve your goals faster. They can support your goals and lift you up when you most need it. It’s even more helpful if they have the same goal as you. My goal is to live a healthier life so that my kids can live their best life.
